Toby Gad Vermögen Tobias “Toby” Gad (born April 12, 1968) is a German music producer/songwriter based in Los Angeles. He is best known for co-writing John Legend’s biggest hit, “All of Me,” the highest certified single in RIAA history, as well as co-writing and producing Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and Beyoncé’s “If I Were a Boy.”Other prominent pieces include Demi Lovato’s “Skyscraper,” Jessie J’s “Who You Are,” and others.

Gad was born in 1968 into a musical family in Munich, and both of his parents were established figures in the Munich music scene with their band, The Jazz Kids.His father is a clarinettist and a pilot from Denmark. Although they were too young to enter most clubs at the age of 13, Toby and Jens were no strangers to the Munich live music scene. Weekly performances in taverns, open-air summer festivals, and events at famed live clubs like the Domicile spread the word, and Munich hit producer Tony Monn expressed interest in the brothers. Monn gave Toby and Jens access to his state-of-the-art recording facility whenever he could.

Toby Gad first met Mauritian vocalist Jacqueline Nemorin in 1990. This marked the start of a ten-year partnership between the two. Gad co-produced Nemorin’s first BMG album, The Creole Dance, alongside Farian. Gad collaborated with manager Klaus Frers (Daydream Music Supervizing) to create Nemorin’s second album for EMI Europe in 1994. Frers was also the one who got the duo into music production.

Gad migrated to New York City after achieving great success in his native country, launching Strawberrybee studio in Midtown Manhattan.The album title song and hit single “Unspoken,” written by Gad, Madeline Stone, and O.Hatch for Christian platinum artist Jaci Velasquez, stayed in the Christian Billboard top 20 single charts for half a year and was re-released on the Billboard #2 album, WOW Greates.
